About Dr. Edwards
Dr. Barbara Edwards, Princeton MD, MPH is a board certified internist in the Princeton, New Jersey area. Dr. Edwards is currently licensed to practice medicine in New Jersey. She is affiliated with Penn Medicine Princeton Medicine Physicians in the Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center.
Dr. Edwards received her undergraduate education at the University of Pennsylvania with Summa cum Laude honors. She received her M.D. at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in 1988, and her Master of Public Health degree from Harvard University in 1993.
After completing her academic education, Dr. Edwards interned and then became a resident at Columbia University Medical Center’s New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Edwards then went on to complete her fellowship in General Internal Medicine at Brigham and Women’s hospital.
In addition to practicing medicine, Dr. Edwards teaches residents and medical students from the Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine. She has also recently become the medical director of the Bristol-Myers Squibb Community Health Center, an organization at the University Medical Center of Princeton whose mission is to provide quality care to uninsured and under-insured New Jersey residents in Mercer and Middlesex counties.
